This month on Jan. 2nd I weighed in at 211.6 lbs, Jan 23rd weigh in is 206.4. While I am happy about losing 5lbs in about 3 weeks, I am not getting overly excited because usually I can lose 10lbs very easily, get satisfied, and gain it all back within a couple of months. I won't be hard on myself, but I won't get overly excited until I break the cycle.
One of the main issues I'm struggling with on my weight loss journey is food. I live at home with my parents and two of my sisters. While I love them all very dearly, they are not the healthiest people. There's constantly junk food such as chips, ice cream, and pizza. It is very hard to resist these things. I do think I have a small amount of self control, but there's only so much self control can do. My solution to this problem would simply be don't have those tempting foods in your home, but since my home is not mine alone, I'm constantly thinking of new things to help with moderation and self control.
I feel you friend. I believe the only thing we can work of is self control. I live with Reggie and it's hard to eat healthy as he eats pizza!
ReplyDeleteMy goal is to take it one meal at a time. For instance whatever meal I'm eating try to have one fruit, one veggie, and a protein, that way I will be full, energized, and have the brain power to walk away from the temptations lol.
DeleteSherelle, one thing that has always helped me (and it really does help..you've seen over the years how I've managed to lose tons of weight)is to prepare your meals in advance, therefore you will be more apt not to reach for the unhealthy items. Make sure you're eating at least 6 meals a day..that includes your main meals and healthy snacks in between...it really does help tremendously! If you're eating like that, your body doesn't have a chance to go into starvation mode, not to mention..it definitely will boost the metabolism..in turn, burning the fat off. Drink PLENTY of water..which, I know that you do. Don't beat yourself up if you gain instead of lose, because at the end of the day, what matters is that you're doing what you need to do in order to be healthy. I always tell myself.."if I'm doing what it takes to be healthy from the inside out..it will eventually show on the outside". I'm confident that you're gonna do this! XOXO!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more. In the last couple of weeks I've become less concerned with the number on the scale because I feel so great! This is very helpful information thanks so much!
